RELEASE OF NEW SONG BY CHAD COOKE BAND DRAWS HIGH PRAISE AND LOYAL FOLLOWERS
“OIL MAN”, COMPOSED BY THE CHAD COOKE BAND, SHEDS LIGHT ON THE OIL INDUSTRY AND BEYOND

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - It is safe to say that a new song released by the Chad Cooke Band has struck the right kind of nerve.
“Oil Man”, written and composed by Chad Cooke, has caught the attention of Texas Regional Radio and is scheduled for widespread release across 135 radio stations this week.

“When we initially released the song, we did it to gauge just a little bit of what the reaction would be. But, I had no idea all this would happen” Cooke said. Since its preliminary internet release, “Oil Man” has been viewed tens of thousands of times on various social media outlets on its way to garnishing endorsements from the United States Oilfield Association, OilPro.com, Oil Field Magazine, and countless other groups and oilfield related entities.

The song personifies a first-hand account of man realizing the debts he has accrued by the choices he has made. The almost haunting melody creates a feeling of darkness, isolation, and self-reliance during the countless hours spent on location when home is a distant thought. “The thing is man, these guy’s collars aren’t blue. They’re black.”

While serving as a very accurate depiction of the strains of the oilfield, the inclusion of the themes related to family and validation also prevail throughout the song. “There were many routes I was inclined to go when telling this man’s story. Ultimately, being a family man rose above all the others” Cooke said. This decision has proved to be appreciated and noticed by families all over the world.

“I think it was when I started to receive Facebook and Twitter messages - not just from workers - but their wives and mothers that I really started to realize how invested families are in oilfield life”, Cooke said. The song has since been shared by over 50 Facebook groups on its way to become Texas Music Pickers “Top 20 playlist” for the month of February.

You can now purchase “Oil Man” on all major online retailers, and please call your local radio stations and request it!!!

New Album “Easy Way Home” Scheduled for Spring Release
CHAD COOKE BAND ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RELEASE OF THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM

AUSTIN, TX - Rising stars out of Houston, the Chad Cooke Band, have etched their name at the top of “watch lists” throughout the Red Dirt music scene.

The band has experience newly found momentum as a result of the wide-ranging success of their hit single off the album, “Oil Man.”
“The new album is a roller coaster”, Cooke said. “One track will kind of put you in a free and easy trance - and then the next will hit you in a spot that makes you think about your salvation” Cooke said smiling.

The album chronicles varying topics that Cooke admits have been experienced either by himself of others close to him. “Songs like Oil Man - I can definitely relate to it because I lived and breathed it. There is another song called ‘The Fall’ that I think will really resonate with a lot of people who feel like they can’t win for losing", Cooke said.

The track is also injected with high energy and foot-tapping tunes like “Back to Being Me” and “Bojangles and the Jones.” “The important thing is to never let yourself stay down for too long”, Cooke added.

One prevailing theme witnessed throughout the album is the free and easy feelings of rural East Texas. “I am a product of the backroads - not doubt about it. Some of the best and most important times in my life have come about as a result of having the time and space to think", said Cooke.

The album displays the lyrical depth that serves as the ‘soundtrack’ to facilitate that very process of thoughts and emotions while never losing the ever-important luster of being easy and enjoyable to listen to. “Achieving that balance is what we set out to do from the beginning and I’m exceptionally proud of how it turned out” Cooke said.
